Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg, Canada
We went to Assiniboine Park. It's a nice place for a picnic, to play Frisbee or fly a kite. In the main building, there are restrooms and water fountains and a play area for kids, and though we did not go inside, there are two restaurants in there. Also in the park is the Conservatory, the small train to ride on, statuary, and the Lyric Theatre. Small bodies of water hosts ducks and other fowl/fish. Not sure about a gift shop but there probably is a small one (isn't there always?). During the winder, the Festival of Lights is here.
